A trend that I've been loving for a really long time is a good warm neutrals eye shadow. I seriously believe it compliments every skin tone because it's not completely on the warm side (hence the neutral part), and it's not too cool toned either. Since I work on many clients with various skin tones and shades I need a staple palette that will work for everyone. So I've sorted my top 2 favorite warm neutrals palettes and decided to share them with you! They're broken down into 2 categories.
Luxury & Affordable.
1. Thrive Causemetics - Perfect Eye Palette Warm Neutrals™ $45
Now, this company is a relatively small one and if you haven’t guessed by now their mission is in the title ;) For every makeup product sold Thrive will donate to a charitable cause. I absolutely love when brands have the ability to sell products while making a difference. So naturally, I had to try theirs. It’s important for me to note that just because they have an amazing mission does not mean I will automatically love their products. I’m still a consumer who needs to get my money’s worth after all! But, my experience with them was definitely a positive one.
So this palette is hands down one of the best I have ever used. They are not lying with that name! I honestly did not have that high of expectations for this palette at the time of purchase because the brand is not that mainstream (yet). BUT OMG was I wrong. The pigment and blend-abilty (is that a word?) of these shadows is seriously amazing. It just blends so beautifully with very little fallout. I think it’s safe to say that this is a staple palette you need in your everyday makeup bag.
2. BH Cosmetics - Marble Collection - Warm Stone - 12 Color Eye shadow Palette $12 (Price may vary a little)
For my affordable pick, I've been using this really cute and trendy marble BH Cosmetics palette. Now truthfully, the formula is not the same quality as the palette listed above but what it lacks in the formula it gains in more color choices. It does blend well but it takes a little more work. All you need is a kick-ass vegan brush set and you're good to go! The packaging is beautiful as well. It's marble which is one thing I've been obsessed with this past year. (To look at the front click on the link). Not joking I have 4 marble surfaces just in my living room, a marble lamp, & many marble accessories. So I just had try this one out of course. And let me tell you it did not disappoint!
Another reason why I adore this palette is because BH Cosmetics is leaping bunny certified!
leaping bunny certified
What is leaping bunny certified you ask? Well, what that means is that a brand goes through an investigation to make sure their products and manufacturers are 100% cruelty-free. This ensures that what you are buying is true to their claims because, to be honest, a lot of brands can simply claim they are cruelty-free when they are not.
So there you have my top two picks of warm neutrals palettes that I've been loving lately! I'm not endorsed by any of these brands so I'm not biased in my opinions. I just feel that it's important for me to share cruelty-free products that work well on all skin tones that I use for film, fashion, and my everyday makeup routine. Let me know in the comments which warm palettes are your favorites!
There a couple of reasons I like to purchase from different brands that aren't too mainstream.
1. To give them a chance to grow and succeed by becoming a regular customer and referring consumers if I adore their products.
2. Because for me makeup is about quality, not quantity. A ton of huge brands churn out makeup collections all the time which makes the consumer feel like they constantly need to buy new products for a high price. To be honest, all you need is a few amazing staple palettes to last you for awhile. Part of being Eco-conscious is reducing excessive consumerism.
Now of course BH Cosmetics is not in any way small. But I really do love that they are affordable and cruelty-free. There are some products they offer that are a hit and miss. And trust me I've tried soooo many of what they have to offer. The brushes I used for the looks above are vegan and I use them quite often on set. Also, I ADORE their brow palette. It's perfect if you're in the makeup industry and need a palette for many clients. Or if you're just a brow addict and want some perfect insta brows!
